Lough Caragh
Catch: Salmon, Brown Trout & Sea Trout.
Location: Lough Caragh can be found near the village of Glencar, at the mouth of the Glencar Valley.
Description: This lake is a Spring salmon fishery, with good summer salmon and grilse fishing. Other fish caught here are Brown trout and Sea trout. Public access is available at the outflowing river.
Season: Salmon fishing is between January 17th – September 30th, Brown trout are caught from February 15th – October 12th, while Sea trout are taken between January 17th – October 12th.

Methods: Fly, spinning and trolling.
Fly and Spinner, and Bait: Toby’s are one of the most popular spinners. Whilst Hairy Maries & Garry Dog type flies are best.
