Lough Inchiquin
Catch: Sea Trout & Brown Trout.
Location: Lough Inchiquin can be found 8 miles south of Kenmare with easy access off a small road off the R571.
Description: This is a georgeous area, the lake surrounded by mountains on three sides and a primeval oak forest all along the south shore, is fished mainly for its good fighting brownies and sea trout, although it holds a few salmon. Best times to fish is March, August and September.
Season: March 15th – October 12th.
