Lake Muckross

Catch: Brown Trout & Spring Salmon.

Location: The Muckross Lake is located near the famous tourist attraction of Muckross House in Killarney.

Description: Contained in this lake are excellent stocks of Spring salmon which can be take early in the Salmon season. Although the Brown trout are small, the best time to fish them is usually in September. Bank fishing is allowed here together with boat fishing.

Season: Salmon fishing is during January 17th – September 30th.

Cost: Boats can be hired from Muckross House, and other fishing information can be obtained there.

Methods: Fly and spinning.
